Life Skills is a
combination of academics and practical life skills. Students work
with a modified curriculum in reading, math, science, social
studies, and spelling. Life Skills instruction includes
skill work such as time, money, and cooking. Our class also
frequently visits the community to practice life skills.

Mrs. Gonet's class frequently works with student partners from the mainstreamed classes. They join us for all kinds of activities in and out of the classroom. It is a very good way for all the students to get to know each other. Two of the activities that student partners assisted with are making gingerbread houses and cooking.

The first 12 weeks of school Mrs. Gonet’s class participated
in Technology class. The first 9 weeks they worked on computer
modules learning about construction, aviation, and graphic
design. They created bridges, cars, planes, and mouse pads.
The last 3 weeks they worked in the traditional shop creating
a peg game or picture frame.
